The design phase of our knives is an obsession; every swoop, angle, and chamfer was re-drawn over and over for days, and weeks, and ultimately months until it felt like a complete work.

Story

My name is Curtis Berry; I’m a husband, father, and self-described metal-nerd who resides on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. I am a self-taught machinist with a knack for artwork, and I’ve decided to venture full-time into custom knife making.

I began my story about 5 years ago with making custom titanium, brass, and copper scales for production knives such as Zero Tolerance and Hinderer. My scale work eventually evolved into mostly custom-requested artwork and many one-offs, as well as getting to play with some exotic materials like Timascus. It had become apparent that I was going to need to develop my own custom knives, as they would serve as a perfect canvas for my artwork and engravings that had gotten me through several long cold winters.

My foray into the design and engineering of this knife spanned over 3 years on and off in development and prototyping, and finally at long last the “Centurion" was born! I was delighted to unveil the Centurion for the first time at Blade Show West 2019! The sky is the limit and I look forward to producing many more of the best knives I can, both in terms of the mechanics and artistry invested in them. Thank you all for your support!

All I can say is WOW. I can't believe how amazing it feels in my hand, and it's so much lighter than I imagined. Thanks Curtis for my first custom knife. The bar has been set high now.
